Susan Edgerley has been named deputy editor for The New York Times Food section as a result of its rebranding. She most recently served as the dining editor for paper since January 2012. Sam Sifton has been named editor for the Food section in her place. He moves up from his previous role as senior editor overseeing such initiatives as NYT Cooking and Snowfall.
