Newsweek has added two new staffers: Lucy Westcott and Paula Mejia. Westcott will cover international news, and was most recently at The Wire as an editorial fellow, following stints at Capital News Service and Inter Press Service as well as internships at Newsday, Washington Examiner, Arlington Mercury and BBC News. Mejia is joining Newsweek’s web team covering a variety of topics. She was most recently a freelance music writer, contributing to Pitchfork Media, The A.V.
