The New York Times has named Margot Sanger-Katz a domestic correspondent, effective in July. Based out of the Washington bureau, she will cover healthcare and healthcare policy for the paper and its blog, The Upshot. She joins the paper from the National Journal, where she was on leave during a 2013-14 Knight-Bagehot Fellowship at Columbia University. Prior to this, Sanger-Katz was a senior staff editor at Yale Alumni Magazine, a healthcare reporter at the Concord (NH) Monitor and an associate editor at Legal Affairs magazine.
