David Chalian has been named political director for CNN and will begin his new role on July 1. He currently serves as supervising producer for Crossfire on CNN, a role he began in July 2013. Prior to his time at CNN, he was video director at POLITICO. Before that, Chalian worked as Washington bureau chief at Yahoo! News since November 2011.
