Diane Dwyer will exit her role as weekend anchor of NBC affiliate KNTV-TV, effective June 8. She will contribute to the San Francisco Bay area station’s special projects, but will no longer serve in a full-time role. Dwyer came to KNTV-TV in 2002, and has been reporting in the Bay area since 1990. Dwyer has traveled to Turin, Italy to cover the Olympic games. She also went to Beijing in June 2007 to report on the city’s preparations for the 2008 Summer Games.
