mental_floss has announced one promotion and a new hire in an effort to expand their digital content. Erin McCarthy has been named the site’s managing editor, digital, previously serving as the deputy editor. McCarthy was also an associate editor at Popular Mechanics prior to joining mental_floss. McCarthy’s replacement as deputy editor, digital is Nick Greene. Greene most recently served as a Web editor overseeing local news for The Village Voice. mental_floss is an educational magazine offering accessible intelligence in arts, literature, culture and science.
