Longtime food and wine editor Karen Haram will exit the San Antonio Express-News on April 21. She joined the paper as a food writer in 1980, and was promoted to her current position in 1985. Since then, she has won more than 75 local, state and national awards for her newspaper work, and under her direction, the paper’s food coverage was named best in the country in 2001.
