Eric Adler is interested in press releases and story ideas relevant to the Kansas City area. “Whatever trend or product you’re trying to pitch, make sure there’s a local angle,” he says. Press releases should pertain to “large human interest feature stories,” he adds. He does NOT want information that is distributed to numerous publications.
Adler may be pitched by e-mail; he accepts high-resolution images. However, for a breaking story, he would like a phone call. “Ninety-nine percent of the time, we just delete these e-mails,” Adler says. “Call us if you’ve got a great story.”
