- CisionScoop: Julia Turner, editor in chief for Slate, has named Lowen Liu as the outlet’s new deputy editor.
- CisionScoop: Breana Lai has been promoted to test kitchen manager at EatingWell Magazine. She was previously the associate food editor for the magazine.
- ABC News welcomes Dr. Jennifer Ashton as its new chief medical correspondent. Dr. Ashton has served as a medical contributor for FOX News, CBS News and was a co-host of The Doctors.
- Kimberley A. Martin joins The Washington Post on Nov. 13 as a sports reporter covering the Washington Redskins. She most recently was a sports columnist for The Buffalo News.
- Koa Beck decamps from VOGUE Online and moves to Jezebel to take the role of editor in chief. At VOGUE she was the digital executive editor, and had previously served as a senior features editor for Marie Claire.
- Jeffrey Cane has left The New York Times to be the news and features editor for Barron’s. He was a managing editor for the Dealbook section of The New York Times, and had served as an editor for Dow Jones Newswires, Reuters and The Daily News.
- Tanya Basu has been named the new senior editor for The Daily Beast overseeing science content. Prior to joining the outlet, she was the science editor for Inverse.
- FOX News Channel and John Huddy have parted ways. Huddy had been serving as a foreign correspondent based in Jerusalem covering the Middle East and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
- Laura Podesta has resigned from WLS-TV and is now a correspondent for CBS Newspath in New York. She originally joined the Chicago ABC affiliate in 2015.
- Above the Law has promoted Elie Mystal to executive editor. Mystal has been with the site since 2008, and most recently was serving as the editor at large for breaking media content. h/t Talking Biz News
