Victor Oquendo is leaving WPLG-TV in July to join ABC News as a Miami-based correspondent. Oquendo currently anchors the 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm newscasts, and has been with the Miami ABC affiliate since 2010. He has covered some of the biggest stories in South Florida, including the United States restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba. Follow ABC News on Twitter.
