Bloomberg News has announced several promotions affecting its global operations and Bloomberg Businessweek:

  • David Merritt has been named senior executive editor and will relocate to the London bureau. He was previously executive editor and Asia regional manager.
  • Otis Bilodeau replaces Merritt as Asia regional manager in the Hong Kong bureau, and has also been named senior executive editor. He most recently worked as deputy editor at Businessweek in New York.
  • Splitting Bilodeau’s former responsibilities as deputy editors at Businessweek are Jim Aley and Howard Chua-Eoan. They will continue handling features and front of book, respectively.
