Ernesto Londono will soon move to Rio to serve as Brazil bureau chief for the The New York Times. Londono is currently an editorial writer for The New York Times and a member of the editorial board. He will replace Simon Romero, who is joining the National desk. Londono joined The New York Times in September 2014 from The Washington Post where he started as a metro reporter and worked as a foreign correspondent in the Middle East.
