The Wall Street Journal has appointed Marcus Walker senior correspondent, European economics and politics, effective immediately. Walker will track the European economy and political trends out of WSJ’s Berlin bureau. He was previously the paper’s Athens bureau chief, and has also worked as WSJ’s European economics editor and deputy bureau chief in Berlin. Walker joined the Journal in 2000 and has since covered European banking, terrorism, German politics and European macroeconomics. Follow WSJ Europe on Twitter.
