Fusion, the multi-platform media network that helps young people cut through rhetoric and focuses on important issues affecting their lives, is expanding its political coverage by creating a new digital politics team:
- Alex Pareene will helm the team as politics editor. Pareene is moving over to Fusion Online from corporate sibling Deadspin, where he served as senior editor. He had previously served as editor in chief for the now-defunct Gawker site.
- Ashley Feinberg will contribute a weekly post to Fusion Online. She remains with Gizmodo Media Group’s investigative team, which produces content across the former Gawker Media sites, as well as Fusion and The Root. She has previously written for Deadspin and Gawker.
- Hamilton Nolan, another former Deadspin senior writer, is heading to Fusion Online as a staff writer covering politics. Nolan is also a former longtime Gawker staffer.
Fusion plans to add more politics staffers in the near future, including reporters that cover homeland security and the Department of Justice. Follow Fusion on Twitter.
