The New York Times has made some moves to some of its international teams:

  • Steven Erlanger will now serve as chief diplomatic correspondent for Europe, based in London. Erlanger was most recently the London bureau chief, a role that will not be replaced.
  • Ellen Barry will relocate to London to serve as chief international correspondent. Barry has been the bureau chief in New Delhi.
  • Jeffrey Gettleman will relocate to the New Delhi bureau to serve as the South Asia bureau chief, replacing Barry. Gettleman has been bureau chief in Nairobi for the past decade.
