AFAR Magazine is adding key editorial members as it focuses on digital growth.

  • Arabella Bowen has joined as digital executive editor. She was most recently vice president and editor in chief for Fodor’s Travel. Bowen has also served as editor at large for Smart Luxury Travel Magazine.
  • Ashlea Halpern was named editor at large for the publication. She has served as special projects editor for Bon Appétit, strategist editor at New York Magazine, as well as editor at large for Time Out New York.
  • Ann Shields will be the new managing editor focusing on custom content and licensing projects. Shields joins from Travel + Leisure where she has been senior digital editor.
