The Washington Post has announced changes and shifts of responsibilities for their Sports desk:
- Tracee Hamilton was named day news editor for sports, previously serving as a sports columnist. Hamilton’s role is to coordinate between the paper’s sports reporters and bloggers, as well as working on blog story selection and editing. She will continue to oversee Olympic sports when in season.
- David Larimer continues as college sports editor, expanding his scope nationwide for college football and college basketball in addition to the local college teams. He will also focus on boxing, golf, tennis, and MMA.
- Mike Hume will become the NFL editor and Washington Capitals editor. He was previously assignment editor for national sports.
- Keith McMillan is the new MLB and NBA editor. He will continue to oversee horse racing and running as well.
