Rebecca Blumenstein has been hired by The New York Times as a deputy managing editor to help guide the paper’s digital transition; Blumenstein will also work with Business Day content and the NYT’s live events series. Prior to this, she had been at the Wall Street Journal since 1995, including serving as the deputy editor in chief since 2013. During her time at the WSJ she also held the roles of Page One editor, deputy managing editor for international, managing editor for online, international news editor, and China bureau chief.
