CNN has formed a new investigative unit made up of both current team members and new faces. Lex Haris, who previously served as executive editor of CNNMoney, will lead the unit as executive editor. Filling his position at CNNMoney is Rich Barbieri, who previously served as managing editor. Additionally, two contributing editors joined the unit:
- Pulitzer Prize winner and famed Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein, who notably contributed to CNN’s recent coverage of President Donald Trump and Russia.
- James B. Steele, winner of two Pulitzer Prizes for investigative reporting. He has written for Vanity Fair, TIME and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
