Shawn Perine has been named editorial director of the newly created American Media Inc. Fitness Group, publisher of Men’s Fitness, FLEX, Muscle & Fitness, Muscle & Fitness Hers. He previously served as the editor in chief for Muscle & Fitness since 2011. Perine also was the chief content director of Muscle & Fitness Hers and FLEX in 2014 after serving as a senior writer for FLEX since 2004. Chris Scardino has been named executive vice president and group publisher overseeing the magazines after serving in that role for Men’s Fitness since 1997.
