Longtime Columbus Dispatch home, garden, and travel editor Cindy Decker has retired, with Jenny Applegate taking over the position. Decker has been in the role since 1997, and originally joined the paper in 1989 as a news copy editor. She had previously edited Education Daily, as well as holding editorial roles at Capitol Publications, The Evening Journal, and the Martinsburg Evening Journal.
