Philadelphia Media Networks, which includes The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News and Philly.com, rearranges editorial positions to pioneer the network’s move into digital media. Erik Ulken, who previously served as managing editor for digital content, has been named managing editor of digital operations for all of Philadelphia Media Networks. He will oversee the organization’s transition to a digital first publishing system and newsroom video strategy. Beginning Nov. 30, Patrick Kerkstra will take over as managing editor for digital content, where he will work to coordinate digital news coverage and tailor content to a digital audience.
