Bill Church is leaving the Sarasota (FL) Herald-Tribune to serve as senior vice president for news at parent company GateHouse Media. Church will move to Austin, Texas and will be directing the news operations for the company’s 125 daily and 620 weekly papers and trade publications. He has served as executive editor since joining staff in January 2013. In June 2015, he was given the added role of southeast regional editor for GateHouse. Follow the Herald-Tribune on Twitter.
