Mandy Crow is the managing editor of Essential Connection but frequently contributes as a writer since the magazine has a small staff. She is looking for story ideas that appeal to the American teenager and support teens in their spiritual growth. Product pitches should include information about the product’s impact on a teenager’s life. The magazine is not interested in simply featuring a product. “We want to tell a story,” Crow says. She also accepts story submissions from freelancers and industry experts.

Essential Connection is a lifestyle magazine intended for Christian teenagers. It covers topics ranging from music, dating and faith issues, to SATs and college applications for readers in grades 7 through 12. Its monthly circulation is approximately 44,000.
