Editor in chief Debbie Michaud announced she will be departing Creative Loafing Atlanta in October. Michaud has served as EIC at the community newspaper since 2012, but began working at the outlet in 2006, holding a variety of editorial positions. She leaves the newspaper to join CARE, a global nonprofit which “aims to empower women and children around the world and provide aid during crises and natural disasters” where she will create and execute digital content strategy. In her absence, news editor Thomas Wheatley will serve as interim EIC. To stay on top of the latest socially conscious information in Atlanta, follow along on Twitter.
