Griff Witte has been named the Berlin bureau chief of The Washington Post, effective during the summer of 2017.

He’ll be replacing Anthony Faiola, who is moving to Miami to serve as the bureau chief for the Southern America/Caribbean region. Griff, who currently serves as the London bureau chief, previously served as the paper’s deputy foreign editor. He joined the paper in 2003. Follow the Post’s international coverage on Twitter.
