Gannett has named Katrice Hardy as executive editor of the Greenville News in South Carolina and Southeast regional editor for the USA Today Network.

Besides the News, newspapers in the Southeast region include the Independent Mail in Anderson, South Carolina; the Citizen-Times in Asheville, North Carolina; and the News Leader in Staunton, Virginia. Hardy previously was managing editor of the Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Virginia. Follow the Greenville News on Twitter.
