After serving as news director for more than two years, Katie Wadington recently rose the ranks to editor at the Citizen-Times in Asheville, North Carolina. She also remains editor of the newspaper’s parenting magazine, WNC Parent, a role she’s held since 2010. Before she made the move to North Carolina, Wadington worked at papers in the Midwest, including the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison and the Chicago Sun-Times, where she was a wire editor for five years.
