Longtime Arizona journalist Paul Maryniak has been living the retired life after leaving the Arizona Republic in 2013, but he recently decided to get back in the game as executive editor of Ahwatukee Foothills News and East Valley Tribune in Tempe. For much of Maryiak’s time at the Republic, he oversaw coverage of Ahwatukee and the East Valley. Before the Republic, he was the city editor for the Philadelphia Daily News.
