The Wall Street Journal has promoted Jenny Strasburg to senior correspondent covering European finance, focusing on European banks, insurance industry and Deutsche Bank. Ashley Codianni has been named executive producer for social and emerging media for CNN. She previously held the positions of senior director of social media and director of social publishing. Codianni joined CNN as senior producer and digital correspondent in 2014.

The Kansas City Star editorial page editor, Colleen McCain Nelson, has been appointed national opinion editor for McClatchy Newspapers. She will continue to serve as editorial page editor for The Kansas City Star, a role she has held since 2016. Nelson was previously a White House correspondent for The Wall Street Journal.
Toriano Porter has become a member of The Kansas City Star editorial board and will be an editorial writer. He was previously a breaking news reporter, and also had stints as a reporter at the Lee’s Summit Journal and Independence Examiner.
Stevens Point Journal has bid farewell to its Going Out reporter, Nathan Vine. He originally joined the central Wisconsin publication in 2002, and served as business editor and education reporter during his tenure.
Jason Abbruzzese is the new senior technology editor for NBC News Digital. Abbruzzese comes from Mashable, where he served as business editor and business reporter. Before joining Mashable, he was a web editor and markets reporter for the Financial Times.
WMC-TV has announced the Greg Phillips is the new news director and will join the NBC affiliate in Memphis on Feb. 12. Phillips is currently the assistant news director and special projects director for WVUE-TV in New Orleans.
