CisionScoop: Courtney Drake-McDonough has taken over the role of editor for RealFoodTraveler  as Bobbie Hasselbring announced that she will be stepping down as editor in chief earlier this month. Hasselbring has been in charge of the website since 2009, and will continue on at the outlet as a contributor. Drake-McDonough has also contributed to the Denver Post, Watchboom.com, Front Porch and Lowry News.

CisionScoop: The Chico News & Review welcomes Ashiah Scharaga as reporter. She was most recently with the Chico Enterprise-Record, where she covered city hall as a reporter. The Chico News & Review is a newspaper published for residents of Chico and surrounding Butte County in California.

Deputy sports editor, Jay Schreiber, has retired from The New York Times  after 27 years at the paper. Schreiber started his journalism career in 1973, moving around to different newspapers in New York throughout the seventies and eighties. He started at NYT in 1991.

Benjamin Pauker announced that he has joined Vox as managing editor, covering news. He will continue on at Foreign Policy as a contributing editor. During his time at Foreign Policy, Pauker also served as senior editor and managing editor for the magazine. 

Yamiche Alcindor, formerly a Congressional correspondent for The New York Times, has joined  PBS NewsHour as White House correspondent. Alcindor has previously reported for USA Today, and NYT as a national politics reporter. 

Bloomberg BNA has brought on Lydia O’Neal as a reporter, covering corporate tax policy and regulation. Prior to joining Bloomberg, O’Neal was a reporter for Newsweek, as well as a breaking news writer on the business beat for International Business Times. 

Longtime executive producer of the Today show, Don Nash, has left the program. Nash has been with NBC for nearly 30 years, with most of that time being spent at the Today show; he became the show’s executive producer in 2012. Taking over for Nash is Libby Leist, who has been senior producer at NBC News for the past five years. 

Chris Hine has announced that he has left the Chicago Tribune and his position as sports writer after eight years with the paper. He has joined the Minneapolis Star Tribune as their sports analytics and enterprise writer.

Toronto’s CFTO-TV says goodbye to longtime sports anchor, Joe Tilley. Tilley has been with the station since 1984, where he most recently delivered sports news headlines on the 6pm and 11:30pm newscasts. 

Michael King has left the Wisconsin State Journal, where he was a photojournalist, mostly covering sports. Wisconsin State Journal covers national, regional and local news as well as sports and politics.

Mediaite managing editor Colby Hall has taken a leave from the company, and is now editor at large. Hall has been the managing editor for Mediaite since 2009. He left briefly, and returned again in 2017. During his absence, he was with iHeartMedia as vice president and creative director, as well as digital program director.
