CisionScoop: goop welcomes Ali Pew as its new fashion director. Pew comes from InStyle, where she most recently served as style director. She has additionally been a fashion and accessories market editor for Conde Nast Traveler.

CisionScoop: Tanaya Macheel has been promoted to editor for Tearsheet and will oversee financial technology coverage. Macheel joined the outlet as a reporter in 2017. Previously, she was reporter for American Banker.

The New York Times has brought on Emily Eakin as editor for Preview, covering fiction and nonfiction reviews for the Book Review section. A seasoned writer, she has contributed to The New Republic, New York magazine, The New York Review of Books Daily, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker and The Virginia Quarterly Review.

Fisnik Abrashi is now North Europe news director for the Associated Press overseeing news coverage of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Nordics and Baltics regions. Abrashi is located at the Berlin, Germany bureau. Previously, he was news director for Central and Eastern Europe at the AP.

Disney-ABC Television has hired Martin Keely as executive vice president of product and technology. Keely just finished his tenure as head of operations of Major League Gamig Networks.

Michael Calia transitions to politics editor for CNBC.com. He was previously the breaking news editor. He has also spent time as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal.

After serving as interim editor since August 2017, Maureen Hoch has been officially named editor for the Harvard Business Review Online. Hoch has been with the Harvard Business Review since 2013, when she joined as a senior editor.

Task & Purpose has added Thomas Ricks as senior columnist. He writes “The Long March With Tom Ricks”, a column covering news and analysis of military policy, strategy, culture and history. Additionally, Ricks is a blogger for Best Defense. Also, Jeff Schogol is the new senior Pentagon reporter for the outlet, covering US intelligence and security. He is also a senior reporter for Marine Corps Times.

New England Cable News bids farewell to Mike Nikitas after 25 years. Nikitas anchored This Week in Business, NECN Today at 4pm, Worcester Today, and was host of the NECN Business program. He originally joined NECN in 1992.

Claudia Rupcich is set to be the newest morning reporter for WRAL-TV. She will joining the NBC affiliate in Raleigh, North Carolina in March 2018. Most recently, Rupcich was a news reporter for WTVR-TV in Richmond, Virginia.
