CisionScoop: Andria Cheng has left eMarketer Retail to become a freelance journalist and will be a contributing editor at Forbes. Prior to being editor at large at eMarketer Retail, she served as a retail reporter for The Wall Street Journal Digital Network.

CisionScoopSteve Kiggins has been named business journal editor at The Signal in Santa Clarita, California. He was previously the executive editor for the Spectrum & Daily News, Desert Valley News and St. George Magazine.

CisionScoop: The San Francisco Chronicle welcomes Josh Koehn as its new assistant metro editor. Koehn was most recently the managing editor for Metro Silicon Valley.

Bloomberg Businessweek has announced the following editorial changes:

  • Megan Murphy has left the editor role to focus on family. She had been at the helm of the publication since 2016. Prior to that, she was the Washington, D.C. bureau chief for Bloomberg News and was a long-time correspondent for The Financial Times.
  • Joel Weber is decamping from Bloomberg Markets to replace Megan Murphy as editor. Weber was previously editor for Bloomberg Markets since 2015.
  • Following Joel Weber’s departure, Christine Harper becomes the first female editor in chief for Bloomberg Markets magazine. Harper had most recently been the executive editor at Bloomberg overseeing global finance coverage.

The Atlantic has brought on Reihan Salam as contributing editor and will write content pertaining to U.S. and international politics. He is executive editor for National Review.

Elaina Plott is set to join The Atlantic as a staff writer at the end of Jan. 2018. She will be covering Congress and national politics. Plott is currently finishing her tenure at Washingtonian and is a former William F. Buckley Jr. Fellow.

Glamour has appointed Samantha Barry as its new editor in chief. Barry was the senior director of social news for CNN and previously was a producer for BBC News.

Robert Truman has been promoted to general manager for the KATU-TV and KUNP-TV stations in Portland, Oregon. He had been a general manager for the Sinclair Broadcast Group since 2014, overseeing KBOI-TV and KYUU-TV in Boise, Idaho.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has promoted Matt Kaplowitz to general manager for its El Paso, Texas stations, KFOX-TV and KDBC-TV. Kaplowitz was formerly the director of sales for the stations since 2013.

Mark Davidson has left KSNW-TV after eight years as morning anchor. Davidson originally joined the station in 2005 as a weekend sports anchor and was promoted to morning anchor in 2009.
