Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that WNBC-TV senior correspondent Gabe Pressman has passed away at 93. He is widely recognized as one of New York’s first television journalists, getting his on-air start in 1956 at WRCA-TV, the precursor to WNBC. Pressman did a stint at rival station WNEW-TV (now WNYW) from 1972 to 1980 before returning to the NBC flagship for the remainder of his career and up until his death. He covered many of New York’s biggest news stories and interviewed every president from Harry Truman to Barack Obama.
