NPR has named Terence Samuel its deputy managing editor. Samuel comes to NPR from The Washington Post, where he had been since 2011; he last served as a senior national correspondent. Prior to that, he was with the National Journal and was deputy editor at The Root. He has also worked for America Online, U.S. News & World Report, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Roanoke Times. Follow NPR on Twitter.
