Bob Beckel has been relieved from his hosting duties of FOX News Channel’s prime-time program The Five. His last day was May 19. This is the second time FOX and Beckel have parted ways; he had originally joined the channel in 2000 and was one of the original co-hosts of The Five, when the program aired in the late afternoon. He departed FOX News in 2015 only to return in January 2017 after a brief stint on CNN. Beckel is also a longtime political consultant and the former campaign manager for Democratic presidential candidate Walter Mondale.
