After 50 years in the news industry, John Moore has announced his retirement from the Ventura County Star. Moore has been with the paper since 1998 and his final day will be April 7. Darrin Peschka will take Moore’s spot as top editor with the title of news director. Peschka most recently was the second in command as senior editor and content strategist. She will be the first woman to lead the Star’s newsroom. Follow Ventura County Star on Twitter and Facebook.
