Donald Luzzatto, The Virginian-Pilot editorial page editor for the past eight years, is stepping down in April 2017 to become the vice president for civic engagement at the Hampton Roads Community Foundation. No replacement has been named yet. Luzzatto joined the staff of The Pilot in 2000 as metro editor and has since held various editorial positions including Suffolk bureau chief; he became an editorial writer in 2004.
