Tech news site Recode has announced the addition of two editors, one for a newly created position:

  • Rani Molla will join the outlet March 27 as Recode’s first data editor. She will focus on using code, data and graphics for reporting and stories. Molla comes from Bloomberg, where she’s been a data columnist for Bloomberg Gadfly since September 2015. Prior to that she spent almost two years a visual journalist for The Wall Street Journal.
  • Tony Romm is Recode’s new senior policy and politics editor, and will focus on breaking news at the intersection of policy and tech. He was previously a senior technology reporter for POLITICO for seven years, and has also served as blog editor for The Hill.
