Jon Ralston has started a nonprofit news website called The Nevada Independent. The site will focus on state and local politics as well as public policy and affected areas such as business. Ralston is a veteran Nevada journalist and hopes that a donation-based website will add to the coverage of state politics. He has served as a contributor for POLITICO and as a political analyst for KTVN-TV. Some other outlets he has worked with include the Las Vegas Sun, Ralston Reporter, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Follow The Nevada Independent on Twitter.
