One of country radio’s most recognized personalities, J.D. Cannon, is set to retire April 28 after spending more than four decades behind the mic. Cannon is currently the music director and on-air personality at Hank FM, WLHK-FM in Indianapolis, Indiana. Prior to that, he spent 32 years WFMS-FM in Indy, and began his career at iHeartMedia country WMAD in Madison, Wisconsin. Throughout his career, Cannon has won two Country Music Association Large Market Personality of the Year trophies, a nomination from the Academy of Country Music, and in 2004 he was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame.
