The Kansas City Star has named new members to the editorial board being formed by editorial page editor Colleen McCain Nelson. The new board includes:
- Melinda Henneberger, who has written for USA Today, Bloomberg Politics and The Washington Post. She is also former editor in chief of Roll Call.
- Steve Kraske, who has been the paper’s chief political correspondent since 1994, and joined the staff as a police reporter in 1986.
- Dave Helling, a political reporter at the paper since 2005, who has been in radio and television journalism for more than 20 years.
- Mary E. Sanchez, a longtime columnist for the paper that joined the staff as a reporter in 1985. She will continue to write her syndicated op-ed column for Tribune Content Agency.
