The Wall Street Journal has made several shifts to bolster its U.S. news team. These changes include:

  • Vanessa O’Connell has been named the deputy U.S. editor. For the past year, she served as the East Coast U.S. news chief.
  • Kate Linebaugh will replace O’Connell overseeing East Coast news, effective in January. She has been the deputy bureau chief for WSJ Corporate Bureau since 2013.
  • Neal Templin now oversees WSJ’s renovated New York coverage within the U.S. news team. He has overseen WSJ’s now-defunct Greater New York section since June.
