The Tribune-Review has announced the promotion of two editors: Susan K. McFarland and James Borden. McFarland has been named executive editor of all Trib Total Media properties, overseeing the company’s two daily and 14 weekly newspapers and its Pittsburgh digital edition. McFarland has been with the company for more than 30 years, and has served as editor of the Tribune-Review Westmoreland edition for the past 12 years. Borden will succeed McFarland as top editor for Tribune-Review with the new title of managing editor. He has spent the past three years as metro editor for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
