The Huffington Post has named Lydia Polgreen editor in chief; she will succeed Arianna Huffington, who left the site in August. Polgreen comes from The New York Times, where she most recently served as the associate masthead editor and editorial director of NYT Global. She also spent a significant time honing in her international reporting skills serving as the Times’ West Africa bureau chief, South Asia bureau chief and Johannesburg bureau chief. She joined the NYT in 2002 as a reporter.
