The Courier-Journal named Joel Christopher as new executive editor and vice president of news. Christopher replaces Neil Budde, who resigned in October. Christopher was most recently vice president of news for parent company Gannett’s USA Today Network newspapers in Wisconsin. Jim Fitzhenry takes over for Christopher as interim VP of news for Gannett’s Wisconsin papers.
