NPR has announced several changes to its political reporting staff.

  • Sam Sanders will exit the NPR Politics Podcast and will launch a new podcast for NPR next month.
  • Scott Detrow has changed coverage to Capitol Hill and Congress. He previously reported on the Republican side of this year’s elections.
  • Sarah McCammon will step away from political coverage to focus on mid-Atlantic and upper-South regional news. She most recently served as lead Republican field reporter.
