Reader’s Digest has announced three changes to its editorial team as the venerable publication evolves for the digital age.
- Lauren Gelman has been promoted to executive digital director. Gelman joined Reader’s Digest in 2012 as a health features editor and has served since then as health director and digital content director.
- Marc Peyser has been appointed executive editor. Peyser most recently freelanced as an editor and writer and was previously deputy editor of ALL YOU, editor of Frommer’s Budget Travel, and a senior editor at Newsweek.
- Lorraine Burton is now managing editor of the magazine. Burton has served for 20 years in the magazine’s books division in various roles from editorial coordinator to production editor.
