Joanna Coles, the Cosmopolitan editor in chief who definitely doesn’t sit at her desk all day, has been named chief content officer for all Hearst magazines. The dedicated brand steward steps into the newly created role after four years at Cosmo and two years as editorial director of Seventeen. She previously served as editor in chief of Marie Claire and joined Hearst in 2004 as executive editor of More. Before crossing the pond, she was an op-ed writer for The Guardian and a producer for the BBC.

Replacing Coles at Cosmopolitan and Seventeen is Michele Promaulayko, who was most recently editor in chief of Yahoo Health. She previously worked in the same role at Women’s Health, and originally served at Cosmopolitan as executive editor. Get news and updates on Hearst brands via Twitter.
