Michael C. Bender has left Bloomberg to join The Wall Street Journal‘s Washington bureau. He has been covering national politics for Bloomberg as a senior reporter, and replaces Patrick O’Connor on the WSJ national politics team. Bender first joined Bloomberg in 2011 as a national political correspondent, and had been covering the Jeb Bush campaign during this election cycle. He wrote for the Tampa Bay Times and The Palm Beach Post prior to joining Bloomberg. O’Connor joined the WSJ in 2010, also from Bloomberg, and was previously a reporter for Politico and The Hill.
